Online Dating

After talking and liking someone online, how long should you wait before you meet them?

  1. I do not beleive there is a time period. Both people should feel comfortable before you meet anyone.

  2. When dating or meeting anyone for the first time, you should know a significant amount of information about them period. Anyone can lie on their online dating profile, so you have to puzzle together whether the person you want to meet is who they say they are and that can only happen by talking to them for a sufficient amount of time on the phone; and not through texting. Through texting, words can easily be taken out of content because of miscommunication. Along with miscommunication, people tend to say things they wouldn’t say in person, so you might not even get the real them or a blunt them through texting. Prior to giving anyone you’re phone number online at all, you have to first start a developing conversation that can be extended and taken further. Overall, before meeting anyone you “might” like online, you have to talk to them for an extent period of time where you could possibly see any type of relationship as an outcome. The best way to fall for someone is over the phone because it eliminates physical distraction and allows you to get to know someone mentally, what's most important in a relationship, so if you're not able to communicate with someone mentally then there's no need to meet one another.

  3. There is no time limit, things will fall as they may. The person who meets up on the second day may fall deeply in love while the one who talked for 6 months finally meet and discover they were no match... you never know
