I think if they both want to, then yes it is a good idea.
I always thought you had to have a lot of money to sign one, but Channel 7 news ran a special on it about 3 weeks ago and I found out it is not only for those who have lots of money.
Couples are now signing pre-nups for little things that you want to keep if you and your spouse separate. It could be your family china or your big screen tv.
People are also signing pre-nup for things you want to leave for your children and things like that. It like a “WILL” for married people.
It’s nothing wrong with it. Society has always put a negative feeling around the word “Pre-nup”. It is just a piece of paper protecting each spouse on the things they had before they became one.
A soon to be married couple should NEVER sign a prenuptial agreement.
A couple that signs a prenuptial agreement means that they really don't trust one another. The couple don't trust one another to the point that "just in case" the relationship doesn't workout, the couple will take their OWN belongings when it's over when everything is supposed to be shared.
Overall, a person that signs a prenuptial agreement doesn't have trust in their relationship, partner, and is thinking about the marriage ending before it even starts.
It has nothing to do with past partners and it's not only a female thing. I'm taking about male and females. Family, friends and partners who screw them over.
So what if u proposed does that mean its gonna last forever? What is the percentage of divorce? Only people who don't have shit find it offensive to sign one.
Signing a pre-nup means that you are an educated person. A pre-nup has nothing to do with thinking a relationship will fail or not, it means you are protecting your assets in the invent that things did not turn out the way you expected. Society, and mainly poor people are not very good in protecting themselves. The fact of the matter is things happen, and if you worked all your life to obtain certain things, no one should be able to take those things from you, if you split apart -Sosa
TJ Jones, I think Never is a little drastic, I can come in with 1 million, you come in with 1 dollar and we make it for 1 and a half years and you want to leave with 500,000 ... what part of the game is that? - Sosa
How does signing a pre-nup make a person educated?
Shouldn't a couple think their marriage is going to work out?
If a partner doesn't think they’ll be able to get married and stay married to their partner then why should they get married in the first place. There's no reason/need to get married, if it's going to end in divorce.
Why should a person "protect their assets” from their partner, if they trust their partner. No one will take anything from anyone, if they stay married.
Any couple that signs a pre-nup lacks trust in their relationship.

That is not true TJ.
ReplyDeleteWe all get into relationships thinking this is the one...then what happens? How many people have screwed you over that you thought loved you?!
ReplyDeleteA person shouldn't blame their partner for what a previous partner might've done.
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious the man proposed and the woman accepted it, so she should treat him like he's different an trust him.

So tell me tj do u believe in creating a will?
I agree with TJ. That is why you need to ask God if that person is the right person for you. God will never lead you in the wrong direction
ReplyDeleteDon't everybody stand before god and get married.....then they stand before the judge to get a divorce!
