hummm...I think it could be considered both. It's not really a lie because you didnt really lie about anything. But by leaving out vital information you are kinda lying without verbally saying anything.
I guess I would say it's not a lie unless you are asked a specific thing.
I have to agree with ges. Its definitely not a lie unless asked the direct question... But I will say it could put a hold on the relationship because your not being completely open...
In a relationship, omission is considered a LIE. Omission is something that's left out and/or undone. When it comes to a relationship, omission is NOT the complete truth.
In a relationship, omission is not on a want to know basis, but a need to know basis.
For example, not telling your partner that you smoke or drink is an omission because it could possibly affect your partners health. In addition, when cheating and not telling your partner everything that happened, but some of what happened, it's considered a lie because you know that if you told your partner the full truth that they would get even more upset.
Treat people the way you want to be treated.
Basically when omission comes to play, always tell the full truth and don't leave anything out because it can damage a relationship or affect one another in the long run.
