I think so. The person usually wants to know what they did for the other person to break up with them.
Having closure can help a person move on faster. When they don't have that closure...they continue to dwell of what if, what happened, what did I do wrong.
They stay in a state of confusion. Closure makes everything clear.
A person that's broken up with does NOT ALWAYS need closure, but when a person gets their heart broken, they ALWAYS need closure.
Heartbreak = Closure
When a person gets their heart broken, it's often sudden, so they would be clueless about the breakup. They would want to know WHY their partner broken up with them, WHAT did they do, HOW long has their partner felt that way, and more often than not, they would want a chance to redeem themselves since they would feel like they were left in the dark.
A person that doesn't need closure often knows that the relationship is coming to an end and doesn't need an explanation why.
