Sexual Partners

Does the amount of sexual partners a person has determine whether they can be taken seriously or not in a relationship and if so why?

  1. No, it has nothing to do with it. Just becasue a person had or has a large # of sexual partners doesn't mean they can't or won't settle down with one person.

One has nothing to do with the other.

  2. I BELIEVE SO BECAUSE I HAVE A FRIEND THAT SLEPT WITH A LOT OF MEN AND NO GUY WILL TAKE HER SERIOUSLY IN A RELATIONSHIP. SHE'S TRIED, BUT HER REPUTATION IS RUINED. I GUESS IT'S TRUE WHAT THEY SAY, "YOU CAN'T TURN A HOE INTO A HOUSEWIFE".

  3. The amount of sexual partners a person has CAN determine whether they can be taken seriously in a relationship or not.

There's a double standard to this, but it relates more to women than men.

Usually when a person has a large quantity of sexual partners, they could have a sexually based reputation. After a person has a sexually based reputation, people will not want to be seen with that person other than for sexual desires.

It goes along with the sain that "you can't change a hoe to a housewife".

On another note, if a person doesn't have a sexually based reputation then they can be taken seriously, no matter how many partners they may have.
