I think the most important point is to spend quality time with each other. We all have busy lives and tend to forget about our partner when life is throwing us this way and that way.
Take time out to focus on the thngs that brought you together.
Go dancing, hang out, do the fun things you use to do...
Go to a hotel for the night...get freaky...
Communicate what you have been missing or what u want to see more of.
When there's no longer romance in a relationship, the first thing a couple should do is ask themselves "why? Why is there no more romance in our relationship"?
Everything in life happens for a reason. If romance was once there then it should still be there. There's a reason why it's no longer there.
After discovering "why" the romance is no longer in the relationship is when the hard part begins. The hard part is trying to put back together what's lost. Nothing in this world is ever the same way time after time, so there will have to be a lot of work done FROM EACH PARTNER for the romance to be back on the right track. The thing about working hard for a relationship is that people don't want to put in the work.
Sadly enough to say, but if the romance isn't back in the relationship after trying numerous times then the couple should go their own way. With that being said, it's hard for a person to get up and leave a relationship when their in love, but even though you want to make your partner happy, you have to make yourself happy first.

Before a couple can put the romance back in their relationship, they first have to find out why the romance is no longer there. Then, they have to find ways to put the romance back.
Example: If the romance is no longer there because the couple works too much. - Then they should have scheduled date nights.
If the relationship is getting boring. - Then they should do things that once excited one another when they first started dating.
If they feel that the relationship is getting too comfortable - Then they should take a step out of the relationship and treat one another as if they're dating.
start small...little by little it'll all come back into place.
