I believe because they aren't taught about it growing up. A lot of them grow up in single parent homes. Their mother's have never been married, their grandmother's have never been married. A cycle.
If their parents have been married, they ended up in divorce or their mother being abused. So it never looked like a good idea.
Minorities have the lowest marriage rates because minorities have a lot of fatherless homes. Not saying that other races don't have fatherless homes as well, but minorities grow up with a completely different lifestyle, especially where marriage is concerned.
Since not many minority parents were ever married or society recognized a minority's marriage, minority children hardly see an example they should follow whereas other races do.
In addition, minorities have too much pride whereas since getting married is not big in the minority cultures, it's more frowned upon than praised when a minority couple gets married. It's seen more as an outlandish accomplishment than something that everyone should want to do.
